Hardware:

Well versed in configurations, installations, upgrades, and troubleshooting of most IBM/PC based systems.  Also familiar
with mainstream servers such as Compaq, IBM, and Dell.  

Software:
Operating Systems: MSDOS, Microsoft Windows 3.0, 3.11, WFW, Windows 95/98, Windows NT, 2000 (Pro and Server), 
and XP (Pro & Server).  I am also familiar with VMS, Unix, and Linux Operating Systems.

Word Processing/Desktop Publishing:

Illustrator, PhotoShop, Freehand Studio, Premier, and other personal/professional word processing and Desktop publishing packages.

a working knowledge of design packages such as CadKey and AutoCAD and screen capturing software such as Hijaak and Snagit.

Telnet.  Also have a working knowledge of Exchange (5.5, 2000/2003), VMWare, and other administrative level processes and programs.

TD Bank North Site Conversions.  Employed on an as needed basis.  Three site conversions to date.  Each conversion consists of removal of 
old equipment & replacement with new; Teller systems, Servers, Printers, and associate peripheral equipment.  Additional tasks include network 
routing & verification and in some cases, software installation and/or updating.

Contract Technical Writer – Temporary position
Contract position for three months.  Position required creating, validating, and updating Users Manuals, Operations Guides, 
embedded Help utilities, FAQ’s, and other documents as needed for XOsoft’s core software product, WANSync/WANSyncHA. 
 WANSync is an asynchronous Disaster Recovery software package that replicates and synchronizes information between 
two locations (servers).  In the event of a catastrophic incident, the secondary server, called the ‘Replica’ will assume the 
responsibilities of the ‘Master’ server with little or no effect on the users, programs such as MS Exchange, or Databases.


APAC Corp/Max Automation - 1/2002 – continue to upgrade as needed
Information Technologies Administrator - Freelance/Contract Position
Contract position on an as needed basis with Max Automation.  Duties consist of implementing and administrating systems, 
databases, networks, and web sites.  Presently working on a new website release and Contact Management Database (MS 
Access).  Additional tasks included creating documentation templates.


Twins Smoke Shop, Inc. - 12/2003 – continue to upgrade as needed
Information Technologies Administrator – Freelance/Contract Position
Employed as a clerk for a few months to familiarize myself with the industry.  Once acclimated, implemented an Internet 
presence with Ecommerce site, complete design and integration of network, computer equipment & POS (Point of Sale), inventory 
control, and business management systems.


Freelance Web Developer & Computer Tech. - 3/2001 - continue to upgrade as needed
Since leaving Lucent Technologies, I have been working as a freelance Web Developer/Technical Writer and assembling 
Computer equipment.  Most of my customers are individuals and small businesses.  Computer work for small businesses 
consists of developing the site plan, building the equipment, networking the facility, and facilitating additional subcontractor events 
such as telecom and site hosting.

Senior Technical Writer
Part of a large documentation group.  Main responsibility was for researching and updating high quality level (ISO 9000) 
core switching documentation as directed.  


Getronics (Formerly Wang Global) - 10/98 – 8/2000  
Senior Technical Writer/Webmaster
Responsible for researching, compiling, and revisions of On-Site Maintenance Manuals for use in the field by Technicians as 
well as technical support personnel.  Manuals are utilized by technicians to upgrade and maintain POS (Point Of Sale) equipment 
and networked systems for large corporations such as Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Mervyn’s, and ARCO.  The documents are then printed as 
well as published on the Web Site utilizing Web authoring packages such as FrontPage, Adobe Acrobat, RoboHelp, and Core HTML.  
The information was also compiled and distributed out to the field on Compact Disk.  Other documents such as Flyers, Presentation, 
and On-Site Companion Guides were designed and implemented by me and distributed to the field technicians.  Gentronics is ISO 
9000 certified which required a very high level of quality in their documentation.

Senior/Principal Technical Writer
Responsible for researching, compiling, and revising System & Option Manuals, and Operators Guides for Shanklin Corporation's 
automated product packaging (ISO 9000 Certified) equipment.  


Camelot Systems - Temporary Position through Tech Aid - 5/96 – 10/96
Technical Writer
Responsible for researching, compiling, and revising system option manuals as well as replacement procedures for components of 
the automated/computer controlled Liquid Dispensing Systems.

 
Advanced Remediation Technologies, Inc. (A.R.T.) - 09/93 - 03/96
Principal Technical Writer
Responsibilities included researching, compiling, and revising all operations and maintenance manuals,  Quality Control Test 
Procedures, equipment specifications (cut sheets), A.R.T. Policies and Procedures, sales brochures, and A.R.T. forms.  In 
addition, this also entailed interfacing with upper management, design and mechanical engineers, sales, and production personnel. 
Position also included supporting responsibilities in an MIS capacity.
